Pat Wilson's 1 Ton GMC
Factory NAPCO (Jezebel) in Sunny Southern California!
What
started out as a restoration project took 24 years to complete, and
as of 2008 is still not 100% finished. This is my 1956 GMC 1
ton factory NAPCO 4 wheel drive. The best advise I can give anyone
interested or in the process of a restoration, make a plan and stick
to it, don't make changes down the road thinking it will save you
time and money in the end as it sure didn't in my case.
The
truck is painted, the bed is complete and also painted. Photo 8 shows
the restoration of the rear bumper in process. Minor things to do
now, that's nice! Been to Santa Maria, and won 1st place!, then to
Brothers show and shine and took best 4x4!
She still isn't quite complete,
so I will continue poking along until she is.
Special thanks go to
Omar Lugo and team of Lugo Parts and Restoration in Huntington Park
Ca. for all the body and paint work.
Jay Steele of Taylor engine rebuilders
of Whittier for the fine engine rebuild.
Thanks to the Napco Owner's
Group for the uplift in interest to these trucks.
