And here is a 1958, Model 3E-13D, 1 ton NAPCO V-8, Studebaker. It has a 289 HD engine, WCFB 4 bbl carb, one big honkin' Delco Remy generator and a T-98 4 speed tranny.
The axles have the 5:14 gears, with lockers both front and rear! 
16" rubber all around, with duallies on the rear, a  PTO winch for the tow bed and an electric winch on the front.
The truck was a tow rig for Bob's towing up in Pioneer CA, until 1983 when they took it out of service. Bob told me one of the last calls he took the truck on was to pull out a new Chevy Blazer that was stuck up to it's axles in mud. He said he just backed the old girl up to the Chevy, threw on the J hooks and drove right out. The Chevy owner was quite upset about getting pulled out by this old Studebaker...... DOH!
