This is my Early 55 2nd series 1/2 ton GMC. It has a custom Cab
with all the chrome. It also has the Pontiac 288 ci V8. As far as I have
investigated, this truck still had most of the original paint when I bought
it. This truck started out in Burns, Oregon. It was sold to a bachelor
with a knack for hunting and fishing so he had it outfitted with the 4WD.
I bought it from a guy in Iowa who brought the truck from Oregon to work
his Grandfathers farm after his Grandfather had pasted away. It was used
on the farm as a re-fueler for the Caterpillar Tractor the farmer used
to terrace the rolling hills in that area. I have only since done small
repairs and collected parts for a complete restoration.
